When I say too general I would be better saying the books are out of date. I'm happy plumbing and it will be an oil boiler as we cannt get gas.

I need some help designing a central heating system I can install. Is there any one out there who could recommend a good book as all the ones i,ve looked at are too general.
Thanks in advance.

Roofline Question

I'm replacing the facia and soffit around my dormer windows which have 5 sides to them. What is the best type of sealent to use to seal the corners together. Do I use HMA LMA or neutral cure? Whats the difference between them?
Thanks for any replies.

What type of nails?

Super quick question for people. I'm replacing a slate roof.
Can someone tell me the differences between using copper versus aluminuim nails. Obviously price but are they the same to work with and do they last as long as each other and finally do either stain the slates.

Thanks for your answer. The recommended battens for the tiles are 25x50 but should the counter battons be 50x50 or 25x50?
