Thanks stoneyboy That's what I thought although I'm not a builder. Since posting my question we have had arcitect out (as we had applied for planning permission) and seemingly in Scotland (where we are) a concrete cill is also a legal requirement. Window cill

I have just had new window created and installed. The cill finishes about half an inch short of edge of brickwork. I'm worried that this isn't right, shouldn't cill overhang the brick so that water can run off it?

Any info would be gratefully recieved.
