MDF Window Sil Gap

Hello All, One of the interior window sil's is MDF (don't ask). Problem is there is a slight gap between where the sil butts up against the uPVC window frame. But won't the grouting crack and come loose in the gap?

I am worried that i will fill the gap up with grouting and it will crack or come loose in the gap and cause the silicone to split?

But won't the grout crack with general expanding\shrinkage? the floor tiles are laid on a chip board floor so there could be some movement there.

would filler be a good idea then finish with a bead of silicone?

Gap between where the floor tiles meet the wall tiles

Hi all, There is a gap of say 5mm to 8mm give or take high between where the floor tiles meet the wall tiles in the bathroom. The gap goes 3.5cm to 4cm back to the breeze block. i'm guessing its the thickness of the dot and dab then plaster board, then tile adhesive then tile. Problem is if i put so...
