How do I clean an oven burner injector?

Hi

I have a Rangemaster 110 oven and the flame in one of the ovens is uneven and is difficult to light. Is there a product or technique that anyone can recommend to clean the burner?

Many Thanks to you all

Rangemaster oven Do I need an engineer will a clean fix it?

Hi I have just bought a bungalow with a leisure Rangemaster 110 installed in the kitchen. The left oven works fine. The right oven does not automatically light. When you press the starter button it does not spark, but when you light the gas with a match the sparker then sparks and the oven lights. T...

Periodic Inspection Check

I’m about to buy a house that is nicely modernised apart from it having an old style fuse box and electrics that have been added to over the years. If I have a periodic inspection check done on the property - will this tell me (or a qualified electrician) the likelihood of problems arising when I up...

Can a qualified electrician work on my old electrics

I’m about to buy a house that is nicely modernised apart from it having an old style fuse box and electrics that have been added to over the years. Once purchased, should a fault arise anywhere in the electrical circuitry can a qualified electrician work on the existing set up or would he have to in...

Flu mounting regulations new and old?

I’m about to buy a house that has a ten year old plus Ferroli boiler, which most people in the know feel is past its sell by date. Currently the flu comes out onto the side of the house just above a wooden shed! Can someone tell me what are the allowable distances the flu should be from the eaves an...

Asbestos Flu – Should I remove myself?

I’m in the process of buying a sixties bungalow and have just had a survey back stating it has a small asbestos flu which is no longer used, but appears to be loose. Anyone have any knowledge of getting these removed? Would it be expensive and are there any DIY solutions to this? Many thanks to anyo...

10year old plus Italian combi boiler – friend or Foe.?

I’m looking to buy a three bed bungalow and it has an Italian boiler called a Firolla, but could have that name slightly wrong. Anyone know this make and would they recommend keeping it or replacing it? I assume I would need to upgrade to a condensing type? The existing pipe work looks in good order...

Sparx Thanks for the great answer!!! I understand most of it except the Isolator switch part. Am I to assume this goes where the old fuse box was so will still appear in the middle of the wall of a bedroom? - Which will not look good! Can there be a solution where the isolator switch, meter and cons...

old fuse box in recently modernised house?

I’m in the process of buying a sixties house that has been nicely modernised with a new kitchen and bathroom and seemingly new electrics (halogen lights for a start). I noticed they have a fuse box with no RCD protection and it is positioned in the middle of a wall, which used to be the garage. This...
