hi all as a practising part p electrician, i needed clarification on a issue i have regarding double sockets that are on a spur off a ring main socket... the rules state that the number of spurs are limited to one off each socket on a ring. what would happen if you plugged in 2 3kw heaters into that...

hi, there may be a problem at the connector block, seems like it may be 5A, these burnout frequently due to poor ventilation. try connecting with a 20A connector block and it should be ok. as long as your wiring loop is 1.0mm or 1.5mm.

hi, i have just fitted in a new kitchen and require an additional power socket, problem is i already have 2 in there, the 1st is part ot the ring main and the 2nd is a spur. according to regs you can only have 1 spur per socket. what is the best way round this without getting the chisel out? cheers ...

hello there. can anyone please advise, i have a double plug socket in my room but i want to move it over to the opposite side of the room which involves extending the cable, i dont want to use connecters as i think this is not acceptable with regulations.. is the alternatative a junction box?? is so...
