I would think storage or portable space heaters would suffice. Besides a heater, you may also want to get a fan to circulate the warm air throughout the apartment. If you can, a ceiling fan would be really good since the hot air rises and you want to push it down to keep the overall air comfortable.

If there is a leak in the ceiling of your neighbor's bathroom underneath you, did any plumber tear out your neighbor's ceiling to see if they could find the source? Even if the leak dried out, I would still replace the ceiling because it could mold. I had a leak in my ceiling in my bathroom that end...

Would locktite or something similar work to keep the nut from loosening?
