Paint on fece boards to remove/fade out

just finishing of a closed board fence made from old pallets and crates cut down to size. Some pieces have markings and IDs painted and inked on them and was wondering how I can remove or fade these prior to using the fence paint spayer ? Would it be a case of a heavy sanding session or maybe a chem...

Down light fixings

I have down lights in the kitchen ceiling and have just dropped one down to touch up some paint work. On trying to refit one of the springs has flown off into the ceiling space and I cant get it back therefore the light is no longer sitting flush. Does anyone know if these springs can be bought anyw...

Cistern flush handle fittings

Trying to fit a new flush handle etc to my cistern. The hole in the cistern looks to be 20mm but I suspect its slightly less than this and probs 3/4 inch in old money. I have tried 3 different fittings from local B+Q and have managed to ruin 2 as the hole is just to tight. Searched on net but dont s...
