Thanks for the advice. Yes, I'm tiling the whole room, including shower stall (and yes - I've used Aquapanel !). I've tiled before with 6x6 ceramic tiles, so this should be a new experience. Again, following the forum advice, I'm going to Topps tiles tomorrow, mainly to buy some adhesive and sealer,...

Travertine edging & sealing plasterboard

First a technical question - I've read everything on this forum about tiling onto plasterboard, and have I understood it correctly in thinking that it's ok to tile straight on to 'raw' plasterboard ? (Using the appropriate adhesive). There's mention of using PVA and latex primer, but those suggestio...

I'm not sure how a 'proper' plumber would do it, but I've just done a similar thing. Make sure the heating is off, and thoroughly cooled. Thanks for the replies. The Wet Room projects seem to refer to proprietry tanking systems - I was looking for something a little simpler as the area is only 800 x 600 ! The basic problem is that I'd like the final level of the tiled area to be flush with the top face of the shower tray, so it has to...

Tiling substrate next to a shower tray

Hi - I would like a little advice if possible from someone who's come across this before. I'm creating a shower cubicle with a shower tray, but the cubicle is to be about 600mm longer than the tray (gives you an area to 'soap up' away from the shower spray, and it fills the space available in the ro...

Gorilla glue

I bought some in the states a couple of years ago (because I'd heard of it but never seen it in England !). It's a bit like expanding foam, only it doesn't expand very much. Like the foam, it's very, very sticky. Like all glues, it has some applications where it's perfect, and some where it's not so...
