Cheers mate, would I have to plaster over the plasterboard or can I tile directly to it?

Plastering over woodchip paper?

Can you plaster over painted woodchip paper? Ive got a house full of it and it is really well stuck on the walls and ceilings. Can it be skimmed over if cleaned and PVA'd? I guess the plasterer would prefer a virgin wall but would it take him alot longer to go over the woodchip, if he can!? Thanks, ...

Repairing an internal wall

I am renovating my house and am starting on the bathroom. After removing the old tiles, alot of old render/plaster has come away, revealing some bare brickwork. Most of the old surface (about 3/4" thick) is good but there are some bits around the wetter areas where is has just fallen off. Obvio...
