Log cabin/garden office project

Hi, We've got a large wood framed garage in our back garden - we reckon it dates back to 1937 when the house was built. At the moment it's clad in it's original corrugated asbestos panels. We'd like to know what we'd need to do to convert it into a garden office/living space once it's stripped back ...

Fitting mixer shower to un-balanced system

Hi, I just bought a Mira Atom ERD thermostatic bar shower on the basis that it works with "all water pressures" but now that I've opened it up and read the instructions it says it doesn't work with un-balanced supplies. We've got a gravity fed hot feed and a mains cold feed (two tanks in t...

Re: Kitchen Sink Waste Height Issue With new Sink

As you pointed out though - the waste does sit quite high up....about halfway up the two downward pointing pipes. I'll see how this goes for a bit but...

Kitchen Sink Waste Height Issue With new Sink

Hi I'm just in the process of fitting a new kitchen sink. The fittings supplied are giving me a waste outlet that is lower than the existing outlet pipe. I need to buy a piece to bridge the gap - but I'm just wondering if the outlet is too high for the trap - as you can see from the picture, the out...

Wiring a ceiling fan/light

Am i correct in thinking that the neutral and earth go to the usual place and the light live goes to the switch as usual but the fan live goes into the l...
