help i have soft red bricks in kitchen wall what can i use to seal them they are very dusty without discoloring them many thanks john

hi sandra I'm not a builder but i removed a wall 4mts long [11" cavity red brick] and fitted catnic lintel Â£180.00 plus a little cement/sand Â£5.00 in a day i then had to remove a skip load of rubble Â£90.00 plus 2 hours loading, plus i employed a labourer for 6hrs does this help? john

hi mikem simply turn off supply to storage tank in roof as you did before it takes time to drain this way but will eventualy empty tank in roof as your h/water feed is obviously not working yours john

hi saintmackem if your en suite is on different upper level this could explain different pressure as i suspect they are supplied by header tank in roof all the best john

hi cookie you need to purchase 3/4inch male iron to 15mm compression , [take to merchant easiest ] use ptfe tape on 3/4 end and a little boss white compound on 22mm end around tube and olive all the best john

hi gaz never heard of that one im absolutly sure its not boss white or tap lubricant, does the bowl of water froth when tap is off, some taps have a removablr airator on spout but cannot see this making any difference. all the best let everyone know how you get on john

hi goody51 if the thermostat in immersion htr is set to high then it can overheat it will trip out small reset button on thermostat do not reset unless you know what you are doing re isolation first all the best john
