I know this has been a while since it was originally posted, but did you find a solution?

I took the easy route and carried my HD box to new location and used additional cable runs to feed the signal to it....not very technical, but it works. :)

Not sure how accurate this is, but I believe that if you have a masthead amplifier, then you should connect it to the port labelled power pass. This is to power it, which in theory will improve your signal.

It sounds like you need an amplifier of some sort, or another ariel, to help things out.

There are many different panels around now. You stated you were after a monitor....is this right, or did you mean tv? If you get a decent lcd tv panel, then it will most likely have a 15 pin D Sub connection to be used as a monitor. Best to look for one that has component input, especially if you dv...

RF plugs are easy enough to fit....just strip the end and it screws tight into the plug You can buy them loose from anywhere, but if you have a Maplin nearby, they sell just about anything.

Go into one of their stores or look online, you should be able to get anything you need.
