Tks BLAKEY you may be on to something will try your advice tomorrow if that fails I will call another Sparky. Not sure if I read your post correctly but I paid over £500 for the Dist board work (materials supplied) and 1.5 days safety check which resulted in a switch being replaced upside down, soc...

I have just had a Sparky in and paid through the nose to have the Dist board changed and I thought £160 to drill 2 holes and clip 4 metres of cabling (supplied) and add a socket really taking the mickey. Help..........Power to Shed

Hi- I have run a cable from the main fuse board on its own 32Amp MCB. I have tried both 2W switch socket and a 1W switch socket. On both occasions 240V AC were present on the sockets and the on/off switches functioning correctly with no problem, however as soon as a load (Fridge and drill) is placed...
