Hmmmm, I don't think you'll have a problem with the feed to the dishwasher as they are usually cold feed only. The problem is with the waste pipe. How far is that away?.

As Stephen S. says. You'll need to replace the whole cartridge. I think I paid about £8 for a pair recently from my local plumb center.

I believe there is a plastic connector for exactly this job. Try Screwfix, I'm pretty sure I've seen one in their catalogue. You'll have to measure the size of the lead pipe to make sure you get the correct connector. Plumbers merchants should've been able to tell you all this!!. I find some of them...

Adam, you can use any of those type of fittings. Obviously the yorkshire fittings, solder, are the cheapest. You can get them with the solder ring in so all you have to do is apply heat, or you can solder them yourself. However, push fittings are the easiest and quickest way of doing the job. I pref...
