Tilt turn window mechanism sticking

One of my windows has started to "stick" when I turn the handle. I can open it but the handle no longer goes all the way up to the "2 o'clock" position. Is there anything I can do (short of dismantling the unit, which seems like a bad idea)? I have tried using a little oil and so...

Repairing crumbling sandstone

I have noticed a deterioration to the sandstone in my building. It seems to be one isolated area.

Can anyone suggest how to deal with it? The building is about 100 years old.

I'd be grateful for any advice.

Unsightly soil pipe

My WC has an ugly angled soil pipe that must be about 40 or 50 years old (see image link below).

Can anyone suggest a way to improve the appearance? Should I just box it in?
