A question for the experts: is it possible to rig up a DIY powerflushing system for the central heating? My suggestion is: Connect mains water supply to a drain cock near the boiler, using half inch hose pipe with a jubilee clip to secure it. Fit similar hose to another drain cock as far "downs...

Success - after isolating the power to the 3 way valve, I removed the powerhead cover to see if the syncron motor moved when I selected CH or HW. It did not. I then removed the powerhead itself and I "encouraged" the motor to work by inserting a large flat bladed screwdriver into the slot ...
