Hi again. re-read your 1st reply. In fact as I said fan [i]does [/i]have a neutral. What is meant by quote "wire to light fitting which will have perm loop-in Live, plus switched Live & Neutral". Thanks again Fish

thank you for your prompt reply. I guess i'll have to rethink. What is part p work? If I use 3 core and earth what sort of switch should be used? Presumably the 2 terminal switch i have is no good for this job? Thanks again. Regards Fish

ceiling fan

I have istalled a shower extractor fan but am stuck on the wiring detail. the fan has live and neutral and a 'timer' live. How do I connect to a one way ceiling switch which has only 2 terminals. I have so far used 1.5 twin core and earth and since earth is not required have used earth to the switch...
