I've heard that about gloss.

The chimney must have been bricked up a long time ago, when we bought the house last year it hadnt been decorated since the 70's!

Anyone else got any ideas before I get glossing?

Lath and plaster ceilings

Hi,

I have just bought a 1930's house which has lath and plaster ceilings. My question is whether to skim straight over them or to screw new boards to the joists then skim??

Also how much would the second option cost for a 27ft by 12ft ceiling?
