Wooden bed slats ...

I'm embarrassed to ask but is there a secret to making these fit a bed stead? I've put together the bed stead and then tried to put the slats along but they wont fit either tightly or spaced out! Does the taped side go towards the floor also? Any help appreciated, thanks. :oops:

Bathoorm floor board

Appreciate your helpful response Eddie, the problem is I don't know if it's chipboard or plasterboard. But your right it's green coloured and I'll certainly look at that Aquapanel in Wickes, sounds like it should certainly do the trick, saves trawling thru the Builders' yards. Thanks again :D

Wat kind of boards are likely to be used in the bathroom pls

My house is 11 yrs old and I've discovered the area around the loo is warped where its been wet so many times and I'd like to replace it. B&Q staff unhelpfully sent me to see MDF baords but with my limited skills I know it's not MDF! I've searched the web and can't see anything anywhere, except ...
