Hi there, done my NVQ 3 last year as required for JIB Approved Elec.
Took about 14 months in total, with regular site visits from assessor, different units required with types of wirnig & systems(SWA,MICC,PVC) etc...
Worth doing as recognised by JIB as leading Qual..............

I just recently part p certified and shopped around, found NAPIT better and cheaper, as no extra costs for Periodic Testing, where NICEIC, ELECSA etc all have additional charges.......

Your Spark is right! If he has installaed new circuit to extension, then this circuit needs to have RCD protection as any new circuits installed that hand-held portable equipment can be used externally(lawn mower for example) has to have disconnection time of 0.4 seconds, which is what a 30mA RCD pr...
