Thanks for that but now that is done i have a problem with the downstairs double switch, I thought i wired this like for like when replacing but i can not get it right, i have 2 x red 2 x black 1 x grey 1 x link wire? i have tried loads of combinations but i cant get it right surely someone can help...

double hallway switch

Hi
I need help wiring a switch, it is a double switch in my hallway, which is used for the hallway and landing ,
i have 2 reds and 2 blacks a short link wire, and a grey wire which i think is a spur to a light added when hallway was extended.
please help :cry:

I am repacing complete ceiling light on landing, it is identical to the original, I have red, black, grey and neutral from the ceiling, red and neutral are tapped up, black and grey to block, so i released the old blue and brown from the block and have just tried to con...

fixing kitchen cabinets

I want to fix kitchen cabinets to a block wall? not breeze block, i am going to use 2" screws and Brown Wallplugs. is this correct please? the units are std 500. and are hung on two fixing plates. :roll:
