you can buy desludger from diy stores - probably any will do fernox. sentinal brands are pretty good. the hard part may be adding it (and later removing it) depending on how technically minded you are. if you ask maybe at your local plumbcentre or such for one that you can inject straight into a rad...

new condensing boilers require a larger flow of gas to work at all, basically if they cannot pull in the correct volume of gas they will not burn efficiently, correctly, or even not light at all, and depending on the length of pipe run sometimes even 22mm is not sufficient. if the rest of the pipewo...

i am a bit late but i agree with the heating doctor. pottertons masterpiece was the kingfisher mf (although illegal now due to efficiency) & baxi should have stuck to back boilers. you should really check the burner on your promax's as they are probably split, they have had about 20 modification...

try removing the head of the thermostatic valve & push the pin towards the rad, if it hardly or does not move it is just stuck either: give the valve a sharp chap push firmly but gently on the pin until in moves freely push & pull the the pin until it moves freely -(be very careful not to pu...

i would never recommend using a second hand boiler for anything - infact corgi will only allow it if it has been checked over - and certainly using second hand parts is not allowed i am pretty sure that your model of boiler is about 20 years old which means it could have reached the end of its usefu...

must be an airlock at the cylinder vent the air from the flow pipe on the hot water cylinder - it should have a 1" nut or (hopefully) a vertical bleed point where you can do this if you dont know where this pipe it is probably about halfway up the side of your cylinder with another pipe of simi...

this is a difficult one but i will give you the best advise i can - the morocco (i think) should be a room sealed boiler which means it should(with a bit of brick bashing) be able to be removed without releasing any asbestos - if it contains it as personally i think the insulation tiles are ceramic ...

dont't know if you did but you need to remove the wires at the pump to get a proper resistance reading and if it is the model i am thinking of the pump runs for hot water as well as heating. however it does sound like the expansion vessel at fault, what you can do is: - drain the ch circuit - just u...

it sounds like flow sensor may not be functioning correctly, on these boilers they are called thermistors and a bit fiddly to get to and if this is the case will required a heating engineer other simple things to check are the system water pressure and that the water is not running through the taps ...

is there enough water pressure in it? there should be a gauge with the needle sitting about 1 bar if not there will be a filling point external of the boiler with a valve which you can open to increase the water pressure(just remember to close it when finished) it should fitted with a silver coloure...

hi there the programmer should be set to 16 to allow your heating to come on independantly of your hot water( ie if you advance your heating at the clock when the water is off), but if it has always been set that way it sounds like the problem may be your mid-position valve passing internally. - bas...
