removing door handles with thumb turns

Can anybody help me??? I'm trying to remove my bathroom door handle in order to paint the door. I've removed all the screws from both the latch plate and the lock plate but it still doesn't seem to want to come free. I can't see anything else to undo!! HELP!!! painting lining paper

Hi. I've just finished lining my bedroom walls ready to paint them. How long sjould i leave them to dry out before iI paint them, and do I need to water down the first coat of emulsion (I'm using farrow and ball estate emulsion) as i've been getting conflicting advice.

I've just replaced my old cracked ceiling rose but am having difficulty working out why it now won't work. I drew a diagram of the previous wiring set up (there were 4 lots of cable coming in!) and wired the new one exactly the same ( very fiddly but believe I've managed it) but now it won't work, a...
