Fridge/Freezer defrosted no doesn't work!

I defrosted the fridge freezer this morning with a combination of some gentle warm air, warm water and time. All done and cleaned out I switched it back on but didn't hear the compressor kick in... The light in the fridge works so I'm presuming that something with the compressor/gas is not working. ...

I need to move a wire from the ceiling literally two feet across. However the floorbaords upstairs aren't in a condition to be lifted (yet). I don't want to put a huge hole in the ceiling large enough for a hand to pull cable from ceiling, move two feet and pop down another hole. Any sneaky tips to ...

Help, I need to remove the kitchen unit facades on the fridge and dishwasher, but cannot find any screws to undo them! Where are they usually and then what needs doing!!

Yeah, have sussed that out. perhaps I was being a little niaive in thinking that the fittings would be universal. Anyway, will be sorted this weekend.

Replace Ceiling Rose Light

Fine with the wiring. my problem is that the weight bearing bracket on the light (bought from B&Q), has two holes. I was going to just screw this onto the wiring rose and up and into the existing structure. The hole spacing on the weight bracket however is not the same as the standard on the wir...
