Thanks Mark, The funny thing is that one of the quotations includes us breaking out the external concrete slab next to the wall (in the side return) and then they will install a new slab... for £1000. And I have no idea why they are doing it or what it will achieve? Are they just going to put some D...

Are cold water tanks any good?

Just moved to London and discovered that the cold water runs up to a tank in the loft before being distributed around the house. I don't really like this idea and I haven't had it in previous houses, but I am wondering whether it is necessary in London due to very low water pressure - is this right?...
