Hi Phil never seen the tank you speak of but sounds good. As for whether you need a bunded tank or not depends on where you live or should I say where the fuel would run if the tank burst. If it can get to a water course of drain leading to a water course then you will need one. Distance from drains...

You can get the fitting for your roof vent from a good plumbers or builders merchant. You will need to remove a slate or two to fit then replace the others over the flashing. Similarly you can get the cap for the top of the flashing vent from same source. Any good in line extraction fan should be ab...

Forgot to mention that it's normal to have like a ring main system with each radiator feeding off it and feeding back onto the return line. In some cases though the whole of the heating flow passes through the radiator then onto the next one. If that's the case then you will need to bypass the radia...

Check pump situation. Some systems suck it round rather than pumping it around. If pump is on lowest part of heat source eg where it the cool water goes in, it probablty has been designed to suck rather than pump. If you pump on that line it will go back to the expansion tank. The pump should have a...

NO! You must put a gradulal slope from your flue out to the edges of the chimney. If you have a flat ledge you will get a build up of soot and combustion by products which in themselves can ignite and cause a chimney fire. I would buy of get made a steel throat plate and fire cement it into place th...

Check you pump is actually working and not just running. I had trouble getting heat to my radiators, took a good few hours to warm up and even then not very hot, plenty of domestic hot water though. Fitted a new pump and now they are good and hot in minutes. Just a well worn pump was the problem, it...

Try opening the radiator up to the system and see if your problem goes away. If it does you will need to bypass the radiator as possible your boiler is cutting out on high temp as no heat flow though seems a wierd one. Try opening it up and se what happens from there.

sound like your heating flow is all going through the upstairs radiator. Check the outlet valves from the down stairs are fully open then throttle in the outlet from the upstairs radiator till you have a temperature drop over the radiator. I forget how much it should be but if the pipe is of a temp ...
