A simple test that you can carry out to see if you have damp in the walls is to get a household drill and drill into the plaster showing damp, drill straight through into the brickwork. Hi It might be too late but there is also another system that you could try called FREEZTEQ. I have used this system before and there is no need for expensive tool hire, all you need is a 22mm drill piece and a drill.
