It should be dry by now. Just make sure you seal the new plasterwork before papering or the paste will suck into the new plaster before you have hang the paper properly.

Go buy some brick acid from a builders merchant and follow the instruction. The white stuff is brick salts weeping out of the bricks. you get it alot on new brickwork.

Hi, its probably due to movement from the weight behind the wall. With all this wet weather we have had over the last 3 years the soil mass expands and moves when wet, so that can apply pressure to the wall. No worries.....................either your water table is near the trench or its rain fall. When you come to pour the footing, just pump or bucket it out. Once the concrete is in it will take it in to the mix..............Have fun

Try getting a cartridge of anchor epoxy resin from the builders yard. But for blobs on ther back of the tiles hold it in place for about 5 minutes . Wont go anywhere after that.....................have fun :lol:

Hi, Dont worry about future fixing using glue.(Never done on site) Timber being a material that expands and contracts(related to moisture content), you might find that the glue joints might crack or split. Dont worry about this, as the metal fixings will hold firm.Might be worth insulating below you...

Use either a plank of wood or a stripe of mdf to create the flat face of the skirting, then fix a matching profile timber like ogee etc to the top. These profile timbers are normally fixed around door frames and are called mouldings.This is a cheap way of making old style skirting. :D

Hi,
Try using 'brick acid',which you can get from a builders yard. Brush on neat, leave for 20 minues and wash off with the help of a scrubbing brush and water. :D
