Hi, I am trying to find a sparky to come round and wire in a 3 amp digital shower processor and would like to cut the channel into the wall for the wires and swicth before he comes. Is it likely to be wired in to the ring main or the lighting circuit? That way I know whether to cut up or down the ba...

Thanks for the replies. I obviously didn't make it clear that the rotten part was in the middle. Repair is now complete with the new joist sistered to the old one with three M10 high tensile bolts at either end and a couple towards the middle for good measure.
