Polyplumb - viable to replace old copper pipes?

Hi, Ive got a mess of copper pipe around an old house which id like to replace, firstly because some of its leaking and secondly because I hate messy pipework. Getting a plumber in to sort it all could be expensive for both labour and new copper. Would it be viable to use polyplumb or similar to rep...

Re: Shouldnt this tank have insulation on it?

Ahh, right thanks, from a distance the blue/green/grey stuff looked solid like it was the shell of the tank.

Why does the tank have cold water at the top, does that supply the bathroom/outside taps or something?

Shouldnt this tank have insulation on it?

Hi,
I think this is my hot water tank (immersion heater?). If so, shouldnt it have some insulation wrapped around it, or does it have some clever form of internal insulation?

Or... is it actually a cold water tank?

Thanks!

What should I use instead of floorboards?

Hi, I just found my suspended timber floor was rotten and had to rip up the entire thing (floorboards, joists, the lot). I now have a 2' deep hole where my lounge used to be. I plan to purchase joists and re-fit exactly what was already there, just with new wood. The one bit I dont care for is floor...

Is this the correct way to install Celotex?

Hi, I wonder if someone could help me please; Im planning on installing rigid board insulation (e.g celotex/kingspan) on the inside of my house (its a 1920s bungalow with thin 15cm timber frame walls). Would you mind advising on the following? 1. I assume I can just leave the existing walls and plas...
