Iceman It depends on the layout of your house as to how you correct the problem. You could sepperate the ring and turn it into 2 radial circuits. However first you'll need a spare way on your fuse board to accomodate oneof the radial circuits and you'll need ensure that the ring is totaly disconecte...

All you need to do is connect the live and neutral to your ligth fitting and put the earth in a bit of connector block then put some insulation tape over the connector block. You should then get a leccy in to give you a minor works certificate

Mickn unfortunately for you your outside light is covered by part P. your only option is to get a part p sparky to carry out the installation for you
