Thanks - I hadn't thought about the strength needed in the fascia. I guess I'll probably have to have a chat with a kitchen specialist to see if they can suggest a model that's slightly less deep, in order to allow space for a sturdy backboard (unless homebase can manage to find a replacement door f...

Existing cupboard doors onto integrated dishwasher?

Hi all, We've recently moved and want to fit a dishwasher. I'm thinking of removing 2 half-width (300mm) carcasses which are next to each other and fitting an dishwasher in the space that they leave. As I suspect I can't get the cupboard doors any longer, does anybody know if it's possible to attach...

Hi Oddbod,

I could, but hoped that an 'all-in-one' solution might save me having to wait for the anti-woodworm stuff to dry fully before I apply the stain.

Also, I suspect that I may not have enough so might need to buy more of each anyway.

Cheers,
Ade

Anti-woodworm stain?

Hi All, I'm working to expose the ceiling joists in our new house and will be staining them a dark oak colour. However they show signs of a previous minor woodworm infestation. I don't think it's current but would like to treat the joists nevertheless, to be absolutely sure. Does anyone know of any ...

If you mean the temperature control for the central heating water on the front, it's set at about 70C, which isn't quite the maximum but is most of the way there. The radiators certainly get too hot to touch. I'm rapidly concluding that the radiator is simply too small for the room that contains the...

Hi. Thanks for the reply. The instructions for the combi state (ambiguously) "Use a room thermostat (24V) without voltage to the contacts". Not very clear! However, looking at the circuit diagram, it shows the thermostat as a simple switch and that's certainly all the old mercury sw...

Central heating on standby

Hi all, Sorry - long first post coming up! We've just bought our first house which has an FER Falcon II combi boiler. I'm seeing what seems (to my ignorant eye) to be a strange effect. I've swapped the old fashioned mechanical room thermostat for a programmable one (a [url=http://www.salus-tech.com/...
