Mitre joint on church pew

I have a pair of oak church pew ends that I want to put in the corner of my dining room and mitre them together. The seat bases are horizontal, so that mitre is easy :D But of course the seat back is angled slightly back from the vertical [not too far - you wouldn't want the congregation nodding off...

New cooker, new hose. diy or corgi?

So bazza, let me get this straight: even with a new cooker and a new hose; Me, the competent diy-er cannot couple the new appliance to the existing bayonet and check for leaks with soap solution. I still need a corgi fitter to charge me £100 for the priviledge of 5 mins work!?
