Delay Switch for Christmas Display

Hi, I have an xmas display which has a 12v motor which is plugged into 240v through adapter. I want to be able to switch the display on so that it will automatically switch of after a set time. Can anyone tell me if this will be compatible with a delay/lag switch. Thanks. regards, Jim.
