it is an original wall. While you are correct on the fact that hot air rises, the opposite will happen with my proposed vent system. I have a similar issue with a cold internal wall. It has been covered by dot and dab plasterboard and I am getting damp where the dots and dabs are - as this is where there is a thermal bridge between the wall and the plasterboard. Warm humid air in the living room is condensing on these cold spots....
