I have a new radiator finished in anthracite with matching anthracite valves and pipes. I need to plumb the flow and return to the anthracite radiator pipes. I usually use solder joints but I am assuming soldering is not going to work on anthracite? I am thinking of using Speedfit (which I've never ...

I need to drain my cold water tank in the loft to install a tank connector. To do this I will need to turn off the stop cock as there is no separate isolating valve at the tank inlet. Can anyone advise if it is good practice to use the opportunity to add a valve at the inlet pipe or should I not bot...
