Re: Removing drain valve from water heater tank

Managed to replace the middle section but it's still leaking. There seems to be a washer in the drain cock still (see image). It's completely jammed in there, should this be removed?

Re: Removing drain valve from water heater tank

Thanks for your reply. I didn't realise I could damage the tank by removing the valve completely. I'll try to replace just the middle bit then.

Thanks,
Oli

Removing drain valve from water heater tank

Hi, The drain valve from my water heater has been leaking recently and I'm trying to replace it. However, due to its location, I can't use a normal wrench to remove it (see photos). Is there any specific tool I could use to remove the valve? IMG_20201006_173013018_2.jpg IMG_20200920_100407955_1.jpg ...

Leak while trying to remove washing machine hose - advice needed

Hi,

I've attached two pictures showing where I am getting a leak after attempting to remove a very tightly fitted coupling. The red squares are where the leak is coming from. I'm a absolute novice at plumbing and wondering if I could fix this myself or do I require a plumber?

Thanks,
Oli
