Hi, Assuming you mean the clamp-on valve (for a washing machine or outside tap) turn all water off and use a pipeslice to cut above and below the valve. Then follow the instructions on this page m for repairing a burst pipe. Even if you undo the clamp-on valve you will have a secion of pipe missing...
