Re: Laminate floor - plank direction opinions...

Thanks stoneboy. All the flooring on the upper floor rooms are large board 'sheets', rather than the traditional floor board 'planks', so I don't think this will have any influence on the direction of the laminate flooring boards to be laid over them. Though I will need to do a bit of prep work befo...

Laminate floor - plank direction opinions...

I'm planning on replacing the carpets in all our first floor bedrooms with laminate flooring, and have been going round in circles regarding the direction the planks should be laid. Please see attached floorplans, showing two different proposals. My understanding is that general wisdom suggests plan...

Re: Advice Needed on Repairing Loose Vertical Exterior Facade Tiles on House

Thanks Welsh Brickie. This is also what others have told me in the interim since posting the question, so you've verified it for me. I just need the weather to play nicely to allow me to do it!

Advice Needed on Repairing Loose Vertical Exterior Facade Tiles on House

Hi all. I'm fresh to DIYDoctor, and fresh to owning a house - we moved in just a couple of weeks ago. In the high winds last week a few of the vertical tiles on the rear facade of the house have come loose. One has come free completely (but is intact), and another has slid down and is resting agains...
