Re: Where can I buy Sealant Tape Used for Applying Sealants?

'Anybody' does not include me - I have tried it before and got into a right mess - but I will watch the video and see if I can improve - I did find it easy using the tape though.

Where can I buy Sealant Tape Used for Applying Sealants?

I saw a great video on You Tube about applying sealants with the use of a special masking tape which looked liked Sellotape. He taped a line of it above the sealant area - then a line of it below leaving a space for the sealant to be easily applied. I found some sealant tape at Homebase but it wasn'...

Re: Help With Removing Adhesive From Removed Porcelain Tiles

Thanks for reply Welsh Brickie, We got professional help from a tiler and he brought his angle grinder and did the job for us - it must have been the worst job he had undertaken but as we could no longer get the same tiles and they had been laid over the ground floor we had no option. The problem se...

Help With Removing Adhesive From Removed Porcelain Tiles

We have just had to take up 33 large porcelain tiles due to them coming loose laid over central heating pipes. We can't source the same new tiles so have to scrape the cement looking adhesive off the 33 13"x13" tiles. We tried one of them with hammer and chisel and it took nearly all day! ...

Dog Leg Hot Water Tap Being Moved 15 Feet From Boiler and Need Pump

We hare having our kitchen extended outwards which means the kitchen taps will be 15 plus feet away from the Combination boiler ( the type you get hot water directly from) Is there any type of pump, or other appliance, which you can have inserted that transports the hot water more quickly to the tap...

Could I Paint Over These Door Handles Successfully with Metal Paint?

Hi DIY'ers, Just moved into a house which has nice new doors but awful door handles. They are brass coloured with a plastic handle covered in a flower motif. Could anyone advise on whether I might be successful in painting these all white. I looked in Homebase and saw a craft paint called Rust-Oleum...

Which Shower Enclosure Style Best for Space in 1950's Property

We have moved into a 1950's house and are planning a new bathroom. We never use the bath and want to replace it with a roomy walk-in shower but do not want the wet room option. The bath is between a wall holding the shower and a cupboard holding the boiler. We want as large a shower tray as will fit...
