What to use After Deglosser on Varnished Wood Ceiling

I have a varnished wooden ceiling and I want to paint over it. So I am going to use a deglosser to rough it up a bit rather than sanding.
What do you suggest I use after that before I put the paint on? DO I need a primer of some sort?

Best Primer for Plaster that has Seen Better Days

Hello all, I have some internal walls that are not in the best condition. I have stripped off old wallpaper which left some holes, these have been filled using a skim and fill type stuff. There are imperfections in the wall but i don't want to sand too aggressively as I don't want to do too much dam...
