Advice on SDS Drill and How Much Power Should I be Looking for?

Hi guys, I need to buy an SDS drill specifically for a couple of small projects. 1) Putting shelves up in a concrete walled garage, 2) fitting wooden posts to a masonry sided patio. Will that stuff be durable in outside weathers etc? I will also be hanging a bamboo screen off the batons. I had thought of a glue but didnt think any would be up to the job.

Fixing batons to 4 inch garden concrete posts?

Hi all, hope you can help. I need to fix batons to 4" concrete garden posts. I've read that drilling is not the best idea as they could crumble, so would like to avoid that. Any ideas at all on how best to fix the batons to these posts?
