Re: Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 WM63 wildly vibrating drum

[quote="Clanger"][quote="Clanger"]Hi. My Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 WM63 has a wildly vibrating drum when it has clothes in it and when spinning. When there is nothing in it, just water it is OK. Tunring the drum by hand when off is fine, there is no noise to indicate a bearing probl...

Apologies, I forgot to add that it seems to happen at a certain speed - faster than that and it stops. There is also a "flapping" sort of noise, like someone banging their knuckles quickly on a wooden table. I can't see anything inside the machine to cause this, or anything stuck in the se...

Electric Airing cupboard heater

I've just changed my back boiler and had the old hot water tank from the airing cupboard removed. It has been replaced by a Combi in the airing cupboard area (which I'm refitting with new stuff). As the old "system" heated the airing cupboard area from the water tank typically, I need to r...

Hotpoint 9324W tumble drier heating element broken

My Hotpoint 9324W tumble drier heating element is broken (I can see where!), so I clearly need to replace it. I'm not entirely sure how to get the front of the machine off correctly for me to replace it. I've done a search but can't find any details where the screws and other connectors are. Any hel...

Fixing to double-tiled plasterboard hollow wall

I've just tiled over tiles in a bathroom. The original tiles are on a plasterboard hollow wall. The newer tiles are thicker than the others. I now need to fix a shower riser to the wall, but I'm having problems considering the best fixings. The "usual" ones are not deep enough to toggle th...
