Black Metal Pipe Found When Laying new Sewer Pipe

I'm laying a new sewer pipe into my inspection chamber but I've come across an old black metal pipe about 1" diameter. We had work done 5 years ago and they laid a new gas pipe so I'm 100% sure it is not my current gas pipe. What else could it be? How do I check? Can I cut it with a metal elect...

Shallow Sewer Pipe and Pouring Concrete for Support

I'm laying a new 110mm sewer pipe into an existing inspection chamber which is not very deep when you lift the manhole cover off. I get get an angle on the pipe sufficient for water the flow but the top of the new sewer pipe will be 20-30mm under the surface. I will bed it all in with 10mm pea shing...
