hi there to be onest i think you creating a problem that dont exsist,
if the cu is properly fitted and sealed as no little fingers can be pushed through any cable entry the worst a child can do is switch a breaker of and back on.

Rocky, true rcbo would be the best idea i agree the only problem is you can buy a split load board for the price of an rcbo, i think the wholesalers should bring the prices of them down. SB

all outlet that can recieve a plug that could supply outside equipment should be protected via an rcd, i would of noted this in a test as well and do, the way to fix this is not major either replace the front without a socket on or the cooker circuit to be moved over to rcd side. to be done by a par...

true eric part p is out there to try and stop diyers and cowboys all i can say to this is get an niceic approved contractor to periodic it and cert it should cost no more than £200.00, heh you,ve saved loads by wiring it yourself and remember thats why were called trades men :lol:

hi there i would just like to point out that 1.5mm should run no more the 16amp not 20amp i know the gentelman did say between 14.5 to 20 but it's acctually 16 also because you are feeding an outside socket which could have anyting plugged into it, it should really be 2.5mm but hard to say when not ...
