energy saving bulbs or fluorescent tubes?

hi, in my garage i have, at the moment, fluorescent tubes x2

would it be more cost effective to replace the tubes with energy saving bulbs?

my normal use for the garage is simple i just switch on for just enough time to put the car in/out.

thanks

Energy saving bulbs?

Hi all just a couple of questions about energy saving bulbs.

Is there such an energy saving bulb which is like small spotlights?

Do energy saving bulbs work with a dimmer switch ok?

Cheers
