Repairing Scratches in Toilet Bowel but Excess Resin

Hi
inexperienced in diy
tried to repair scratches in toilet bowl with kit using enamel and resin combination etc
followed the instructions to the letter but im left with a bright white smear that i cant shift
any suggestions or ideas welcome
