Re: Installing dado rail electrical trunking

Thank you, ericmark, for your thorough reply. It looks looks like I'd be better off by not disturbing the cable between the sockets and connecting the dado trunking as a fused spur. I understand that there is 'no limit' (within reason!) to the number of sockets on a spur and the total proposed power...

Installing dado ail electrical trunking

In my home office I have a number of hardware items, each requiring a mains power socket. At present I use several multiway adaptors which looks untidy and jumbled. I am considering installing dado rail electrical trunking with numerous sockets to get rid of the multiway adaptors. My question is: sh...

Re: What paint, please, for copper pipes?

Thanks for the info about oil based undercoats, S.
Just as a matter of interest, can you tell me why is this?
I ask because other websites have people who seem to have had good experience of using water based paints.
Cheers and thanks again,
CJ

What paint, please, for copper pipes?

Is there a paint that IS suitable for copper (or is there a type of paint that should NOT be used on copper pipes?) I'd be very grateful for any ...

Royal Appliances Vacuum Cleaner dismantling

Can anyone help me please with how to dismantle a Royal Appliances Vacuum Cleaner, model M3888-3 made, I believe, by Dirt Devil and sold by Lidl. When I switch up the power to Max the suction drops and the is a sort of 'flup' as if something is moving and interfering with the airflow. I'd like to fi...

Re: 12V Video Doorbell Intercom

Thanks Mr White,
I have looked at Google and there very few, usually in the £250+ price bracket!
Looks like I'm 'stuck' with audio only as I won't justify a price that high.
Thanks

12V Video Doorbell Intercom

I'd like some advice about video doorbells please. I already have a 12v supply to the bell push end and I would like to run a video doorbell system where I answer via a small monitor inside the house. (I do NOT want a system that works via my smart phone as, apart from, anything else, the signal is ...
