mod1916,
sounds like the exterior walls are not insulated, get hold of a contactless thermometer and go round the room to determine where it is coldest.

MaryEJM,
Can't really give you much hope for a solution, did you have the tiles unpacked in the room for 24 hours before laying them? Are they laid on a floor which has bituminous adhesive in it? If yes to either of these there is no solution - sorry.

IonEsh,
Get some sharp sand (plastering type which has finer grains) and some cement and re-float the floor to level. Don't forget to wet the floor with a cement slurry before topping it or you will not get a proper bond.

banquo, You can either: Cut off the spigot and use a rubber sleeve adaptor which will fit over the CI pipe and onto 100mm plastic pipe. Then use a pan adaptor to connect from the pan and into the plastic pipe - you will probably need one with an offset outlet. Or if you can find one there are rubber...

suzanne hughes, It is quite normal to get condensation forming on the underside of the felt just as it is normal to get condensation on windows in very cold weather. If you get substantial deposits of condensed water collecting on the floor of your attic then you do not have enough vents installed. ...

Foreigner,
There should not be any problems but you may need to fit some vent valves at strategic points on the first floor. You also need to consider where to put drainage valves.

Tiga, I believe that you could either build directly against your neighbour's wall or you will be forced to leave a large gap. Either way under the party wall acts your neighbour will have the right to force you to employ a surveyor to certify that any foundations you form will not undermine his fou...

armstrong08,
I doubt a low level vent behind a wardrobe will solve this problem. Your son needs to open a window when he is in the room or you can buy a de-humidifier.

Suggest you make sure the flexibles are not strained in any direction and put the pump on a piece of rubber. If you paid £150 or less for the pump you should expect it to be noisy.

Popejp, If you are saying that when you turn on the mains into your home the cold water tank feeding the hot water cylinder overflows then you should be looking at fittings where you have both mains cold and tank fed hot water. This may be a shower valve or kitchen tap. If you have not replaced the ...
