Covering large holes for drains in wall base

I am about to build a cavity wall that will have a 100mm drain passing through both leaves just above foundation level. I will build the hole for the drain into the wall with lintels over and the hole will be 150-200mm wide as the final position of the drain is subject to slight alteration. The cavi...

Thanks EricMark, The boards that you suggested at Screwfix appear to have a mix of RCDs and MCBs. I have found similar boards at B&Q for approx £60-70. What I was looking for was a board completely full of RCBOs instead of the usual MCBs. I thought about buying a blank board and buying the part...

Ok. Thanks. With regards to pipe sizes allowed underground, in general is it possible to have a smaller size (ie. 40mm) than 110mm fitted below ground (within solid floor)? I also have to fit a new bathroom layout on the ground floor and would prefer the bath drainage to run underground to an exteri...

Thanks Alda, I have examined your suggestion for running a 110mm drain under the new extension that will be located between the kitchen and the main drain and can see that I can achieve the gradient without any problems. This will include a large radius and a stub stack at the head which I can then ...

Pipe sizes allowed underground?

Hello, I am currently renovating a small house and the kitchen is to be located at the front with the existing combined drain passing to the rear of the building. The kitchen will contain a sink, washing machine and dishwasher all connected to the same 40mm waste pipe (correct?). The distance betwee...
